We all know Facebook is a social utility that allows us to connect with our friends worldwide. By the start of this month, Instagram put its own spin on a key Snapchat feature. It allows users to post Stories that eventually vanish from the Facebook-owned photo and video-sharing app.
Here is good news for teenagers who loves videos and Snapchat: Facebook have recently developed a novel iPhone app. This app is known as Lifestage and is available for anyone to download on iPhone. Lifestage is a standalone iOS app for people 21 and under. Although, Lifestage allows teens to watch clips about the lives of their classmates.
The app was released with no cheering. However, seeing other user’s profiles is reserved for those 21 years of age or younger. It asks for your happy face, sad face, likes, dislikes, best friend, the way you dance, and more. But rather than filling out the biography quiz with text, you shoot videos. Lifestage turns those clips you recorded into a video profile, and others can watch them.
Technically, anyone can download Lifestage; anyone 22 or older will only be able to see their own profile. It is actually developed for high-schoolers to know about their classmates. An instant swipe lets you block and report people in case anyone sketchy tries to creep on the kids.
According to the app’s iTunes store description, facebook’s Lifestage makes it easy and fun to share a visual profile with your schoolmates. Once enough students from the school are on the app, it becomes unlocked.
Once the school is unlocked, the user can access the other’s profile in their school community. Thus you can get more information about your school friends.
The app challenges Snapchat services. Snapchat is a popular vanishing message service which allows members to share pictures and video clips.
